Welcome to our profile!

Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents. We have a beautiful daughter, Judy Virginia, who joined our family through an open adoption in June 2007. Adoption has been an extremely positive experience for us, and we look forward to welcoming another child into our loving family. We both grew up in large families and cherish the memories of growing up with brothers and sisters. We want our children to share that same type of joy. We have a lot of love to give and are confident that we can provide a great home and family life for your child.

About Chris

Chris comes from a very close family and is one of five kids. Her parents were very loving and supportive and always stressed the importance of spending time together as a family. As a result, Chris and her sister, Jeanne, and brothers Bill (Chris' twin), Tom and Jim have always been inseparable. They genuinely enjoy being together and are the best of friends.

As kids, family time often included games of touch football, wiffle ball, or playing Marco Polo in the pool. As adults, these games continue - but with lots of little ones added to the teams! As the family continues to grow, their love, laughter and shared good times keep multiplying. They make every occasion they are together a special one - and typically have a funny story to tell afterwards.

Chris is a very loving and genuine person whose bright spirit shines through in her eyes. She makes people feel special, and children in particular are naturally drawn to her. She is a wonderful mother whose love and devotion to our child can be seen in everything she does. Chris and Judy share a special bond born of pure love; a love that Chris will undoubtedly shower on all of our children.

About Deb

Deb is also from a close-knit family and is one of three children. Deb, her sister Donna, brother Lenny, and their parents have enjoyed many happy times and memories. They have several family traditions that they all hold dear to their hearts and which continue today, including family camping/rafting trips, weekend trips to their second home in the Poconos, and backyard BBQs. Holidays and birthdays were always celebrated in grand style, with lots of food and fun. All of these practices continue today, and as the family expands so does the merriment!

Deb is an extremely sincere and compassionate person who is a friend to all. She is a gentle and loving mother, and lets our daughter know that she is the center of our universe. Deb will share the same kind of love and tenderness with all of our children.

About Judy Virginia

Judy Virginia was born on June 16, 2007. She is a bright, energetic child with a wonderful smile and great personality. She loves music and dance, taking walks/hikes, playing in the pool, going to the park, and reading stories. Judy is very social and loves playing with other children. She currently goes to school two mornings per week and loves it!

Judy was named in honor of both of our mothers, who sadly passed away before she was born. They were wonderful mothers and loving grandmothers, and we feel honored to have the opportunity to pass on many of their loving practices and traditions.

Judy Virginia was adopted at birth in an open adoption. We have an excellent relationship with her birth mother, to whom we are so incredibly grateful. We see her birth mom a couple of times a year and send e-mails and pictures frequently. We view her as part of our extended family.

Our Values & Home

We were both raised with a strong sense of family and togetherness, and we appreciate how important a good home life is. Our families have always been a source of strength for us and continue to provide us with love and support. Through our families we learned the power of faith and prayer, the rewards of unconditional love, the importance of integrity, and the warmth of compassion. These are a few of the core values that we wish to teach our children.

We live in New York, in Chris' childhood home with her father, Bill. He is a wonderful grandfather who loves spending time with his 10 grandchildren. He often accompanies the kids to after-school activities (i.e. soccer, gymnastics, swimming lessons, etc.) and loves to laugh and play games with them. Since we live with him, he has an especially close bond with Judy. They adore each other, and we know that he can't wait to have another grandchild in the house to dote on!

Our neighborhood is quiet and family-oriented, with many children nearby. The school system is excellent, and there are lots of great parks and beaches within a very short distance. Our home is spacious with plenty of room for children to run, play and grow. We have a large backyard with beautiful gardens, a fenced-in pool, and ample space for outdoor toys. Our front yard is also big, and often the site of family soccer and wiffle ball games.

Our Work & Interests

We are both licensed massage therapists and run our own massage therapy practice. We work with individuals and companies to provide stress/pain relief and enhance well-being. Our company is lovingly dedicated to the memory of Chris' brother, Jim, who died in the World Trade Center attack on September 11th. It is our hope that through our work we are able to bring the peace, comfort and joy that Jim brought to so many people during his lifetime.

In addition, Deb recently became a Registered Nurse. We are able to coordinate our work schedules so that one of us is always home to care for our child.

We are both very family-oriented, and love spending time with our extended families. Together, we have 13 nieces and nephews so our children will have lots of cousins to play with!

We love the change of seasons and take full advantage of the outdoors. Activities we enjoy together include traveling, camping, swimming, and gardening. Deb also likes to read, go for bike rides, and sleigh rides! She is a great cook, and loves to barbeque and entertain people. Chris is a runner and has participated in many races, including eight marathons throughout the country. She loves to hike, and is especially fond of the mountains in Colorado where she lived for 8 years. Chris also loves to bake and enjoys carrying on her mom's tradition of making Christmas cookies for our families and friends. Judy loves to help with the baking, and hopefully any other children who join our family will participate in the fun!

We want you to know that if you choose us as adoptive parents for your child, he/she will be placed into a very loving home and fully welcomed into our extended families. We promise to provide a very nurturing and supportive environment, where he/she can fully develop his/her abilities and pursue whatever interests he/she may have. We are also committed to honoring you and telling our child about your brave and loving decision. We want to thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We hope to hear from you and would be happy to answer any questions you might have. We also welcome the opportunity to get to know you. Whatever choice you make, please know that we wish you and your child the very best. Thank you for your consideration.
