Who we are

We met each other in high school and become close friends. After high school we went off and did our separate adventures (ie. travel and college). When our paths crossed again we fell deeply in love with each other. Love is the foundation of our relationship. There isn't a day that goes by where we don't acknowledge one another and the special relationship that we have and it's our biggest dream to share that love in raising a child together.

Family is very important to us and we have always wanted a family of our own. Once we completed college and started our successful careers (Helen in the Exercise Science field and Nick in the Financial Planning field) we decided that something was missing, it was a family! After many years of trying to have our own child, we decided that maybe someone out there needs us.

Home and Community

We are blessed to live in a wonderful and small community in Vermont. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe, with pleasant neighbors, friendly dogs, and plenty of townspeople walking, running, or biking along our dirt road. We are also only a stones throw from nature trails, picnic sites and the local schools.

Each having grown up nearby where we live now, we reminisce about our childhoods, we loved to swim and fish in the local rivers and streams. We rode our bikes along the quiet roads with our friends and played hide and seek among the cornfields.

Who Helen is by Nick

Helen is my best friend and my soul mate. We have been together for more than 10 years and words can not express how happy I am to be able to call her my wife.

She is an extremely intelligent and loving person and family is very important to her. Helen loves to travel and see the world. She is a great host and enjoys preparing meals and baking for holiday gatherings and summer picnics on the patio. She has also shown me (through her fitness/health background) how to live a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise. Helen is an amazing chef, and she has helped me discover what a difference healthy and delicious food can make in one's life.

Helen would make an amazing mother. You can see the joy in her face when she is able to spend time with her niece Madaleine. She would raise a child to grow up to be kind, loving and respectful.

Helen is a wonderful person, full of love and energy and will raise your child to be the best person that they can be.

Who Nick is by Helen

I knew before we were married that Nick is the perfect kind of man. Just like any child's dream dad, he can do anything. He can run fast, he can fix things, and can even tell a good joke. Nick has character traits that run very deep, such as his loyalty, unconditional love, and goodness. However, the trait that enhances our lives the most is his joy of life and the laughter and fun he brings into it every day. These are all things that he would like to share with and teach a child of his own.

He has such a gift with children and allows himself to be drawn into their world to play and explore alongside our niece, little cousin, or the children at our community church. Where there are playful squeals, Nick is often in the middle!

We enjoy day trips to regional attractions, activities such as golf or biking, and he volunteers in our community church. Nick has the most amazing heart for his loved ones and community. I know Nick will be a wonderful father and some child deserves to have him as a dad.

Family & Friends

Family is very important to us and it shows in the many annual birthday parties, holiday gatherings and picnics. Both of our parents are very close to us, in both location and love. They are excited to be grandparents and we are so lucky to have their support and love. We have many friends, aunts, uncles, siblings and cousins that we are very close to. Most of our family members live in Vermont, but some live in Arizona and Texas and we love to visit them and see the Southwest annually. Our family loves to spend time together and share lifelong memories. A child would be cared for and loved deeply in our family.
