We have been married since 2000 and honestly believe it was all in God's plan. Our lives together have been amazing so far. Rick is from the North and I am from the South, but now we both live in upstate New York and appreciate the value of our different backgrounds.

We are a devoted family of three...

with our seven-year-old daughter (plus one cat and two dogs) and can't wait to welcome a new child into our home.

Kaylin

Our daughter Kaylin is a happy and active girl who enjoys playing with friends and anything outside on a pretty day.

As parents, we know the joy and love involved in raising a child and would like to have another to share even more!

As a family, we enjoy the simple and important things...

being outside bike riding on a beautiful day, boating, taking a walk, having a cookout on the deck, and church on Sundays.

In the fall, we enjoy our fire pit, roast marshmallows and watch the leaves turn into a beautiful array of color that is so spectacular in this area. Winters are full of snowmen, snow angels and more...Rick and Kaylin are good at those!

Rick by Janet

Rick is by far the man who I was meant to be with. The one thing that I noticed the most in the beginning is that he always made me laugh. To this day, he still does. He has a great sense of humor, along with a caring attitude for others and is the ultimate family guy as well. I feel very fortunate and grateful for such a good partner in life.

Rick is a commercial pilot and also works for the Air National Guard. He loves being a dad and places a high priority on making the time to do the things that really matter with our family. Rick spends time with Kaylin doing her homework after school, playing games, and reading books. She really is quite the daddy's girl.

Rick amazes me at how he makes a point of spending quality time with family and as a husband. It's obvious his experience with family growing up - and his father - was a positive influence and example to follow later in life. His other interests and hobbies include baseball (big Mets fan) taking our boat out on Lake George, swimming and visiting other family while there. He has six older sisters who are loads of fun giving grief to Rick, the one and only baby brother!

Janet by Rick

I was never really a "love at first sight" type of guy until I met Janet. She is a fantastic, patient mom to our beautiful daughter. I could not have asked for a better fit in a partner.

Although we make a great team and complement one another, to me she is the balancing force in our family. She easily balances the commitments of my career with family needs and desires. Janet volunteers at the children's nursery and toddler room at our church. When they schedule us there together, I get to see her interact with many babies and kids at the same time. Her love and her patience shine through.

She also loves exercising and teaches a group fitness class at our local YMCA once per week. Janet was raised as an only child but has fit in with my crazy family perfectly. It is quite a scene to see her team up with my older sisters as they take on their younger brother...it's a rough crowd sometimes...but founded in love, morals and true family values. I feel very blessed to be sharing my life with her as we seek to share our love with more children.

Family and Friends

Rick's parents had seven children which are all grown with their own families. There are many grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren.

Your child will know the love of their grandparents in addition to many aunts and uncles. Both sets of our parents live down South, but we see them several times a year. They are so excited about this possibility and are anxiously awaiting big news of a new arrival.

We are truly looking forward to the opportunity of having another member in our family. God has blessed us tremendously and we just want to make that a part of your child's life too.
